It's Not on my "things I want to see list"...

So, Thanksgiving. Lots of really good, tender turkey food. Yum.

On another funnier note, something to add to the list:

Grandpa's new false teeth.

Ahh, lovely. It's been a good thanksgiving, however!

PS: grammar can walk the plank, the slimy sod!

Kicking the bucket, turkey style.

So, my compy has died. It won't turn on. And I'm stuck using my roomie's compy. Marrrvelous. At least I have a butterscotch sucker to make up for the aggravation. I need it!

Went to bed extremely early last night, so I woke up today at about 555am...but I didn't get up until about 655--my bed was nice and warm. The room was freezing due to the fan being on and window open, so noooo, there was not a chance in hell that I was going to leave my nice warm cocoon of blankets and sheets.

Ha! That's it, I know what I want for christmas...an electric blanket! Whoo, what a GREAT idea...It gets so much colder on the top bunk.

Haha, wrote the funniest email today in response to one of the girls in the house. If she can figure out what I said, I'll be amazed...heheheh. Used all pirate/mate terminology, not translatable by just any average landlubber. muahahaha It went something like this:

Yarrrr,
Methinks ye be a few sheets short of windward, m'gel, but 'tis mighty good ter see.
Matey, I'm well knackered to go polishin' the binnacle this weekend, but the
grub'n'grog'll be fine indeedy. Lookin' fo'rd to splicin' the Main wi' yer anytimes as good as a rub! Smooth waters an' fat barks, matey!
-Bloody Anne Flint (aka: lanenkar)

Heeheeeheeee! translation:

Dude,
I think you're a bit crazy, hun, but it's great to see. Man, I'm going to be so tired of sucking up this weekend at home, but the food and booze will be good, so oh well. I'm looking forward to getting wasted with you anytime at all. Lot's of good times and plunder to you,
Me.

Yep, that's talking pirate to you! YARRRR!

Sudden Psychotic Scribblings...

The lameness that has established itself this quarter must be rooted out and beaten to death. This conclusion was of course reached by a quorum of peers and those interested in the decision-making process can go stuff themselves. That is all I have to say...

Haha, considering that I'm trying to write more often in my blog this quarter, I've been failing pretty miserably. I will get better, however. At least, I think. I concluded today with Lorena (one of the girls in my enviro 188 class that I'm accountable to) that my problem is that I seldom leave the house (aephi) where I live, and therefore am always enjoying the opiate confection that is my computer. (whew, slip a little marx from my sociology class in there... or maybe it's because I'm listening to Rage Against the Machine in the library computer lab?) Such a massive time waster, it's absolutely amazing.

I need to get out and walk around more and go to bed earlier as well--I do so much better when I'm actually up in the mornings to walk around and just get that extra "umpf!" out of my day. I haven't been doing that, truth be told. I've been wasting time on fanfiction sites, and staying up till two in the morning, and then of course sleeping in. Which is just ass. Let's face that fact squarely and accept it.
Yup, ass.

Mental note: I need to call the equinox lady back about a job interview. That and contact the paper lady about working for her too....or that other lady and her job offer.

I'm also going to go home this thanksgiving weekend, and probably work a couple early shifts on friday and saturday. Maybe that'll generate some cash for my rather spare coffers. I have so many debts right now, I feel as if I'm drowning sometimes. I can only conclude that a solid work ethic (or a solid schedule) will help lift me out of the doldrums that I'm currently adrift in.

In other news, have two new grand littles: Shahaf and Shayna. Both are awesome. I need to get on the whole planning the lineage dinner thing though. Yeah, big time. Oh, and contacting alden and the Knowles about dinner sometime (after thanksgiving)...I'd love to see them sometime. Should probably bring jules in on that.

Went to sorority "Dad's Day" for the first time ever with dad. Ha, called him up as soon as I found out the date for it and heckled/bamboozled him into coming. It was fun--we went to the UCLA basketball game and watched Delaware lose their asses. Good times (and ice cream) to be had by all. Oh, and we won't even mention the sheer amount of rubber-band fighting that went on between dad and me for the entire event. Ha! Bring on the war of 'bands, baby! I've got ammo!

Plus, daddy and I got the balcony outside all fixed and screwed together earlier in the day, and he updated my computer (which I've been lax on...eek! bad me!) and everything. Ha, dad always loves the compy. Arrrrg, but he tracked sawdust all over my nicely vaccumed floor!!! --It must be a record: first floor cleaning of the quarter. Have concluded that vaccuming needs to happen more often. At least my washing is occurring more often, though I've run out of quarters and have had to scrounge around for them.

Cannot think of much else to say. Saw Shahaf over the way in the Comp lab. Have to remember that I have to set up meetings with the other peepz in the garden projects (excuse me, "one-on-ones"), and I have a meeting with the lady from teach for america at 930am tomorrow at kerkhoff, and a meeting with Joe after class on wednesday. At least my meetings with Lorena are getting more regular--once a week, at least, usually after enviro 188. (I'll have to write an ode to that class later--it's amazing!)

Yarr, my grammar is disintegrating. Obviously need to re-read my kopaki notes when I go home this weekend. Would rather read them than the fucking APA-style handbook here at school. Fuck APA! FUCK MLA!

With that, I think I'd better stop and let someone else use this compy (and go wash my hands a couple times--ewww, common compy's are icky!)...

fleas have brains too!

Have needed to update this thinggummie for a while. Hmm. Maybe later. I'm tired right now--spent forever trying to upload all my funny pictures for the last while onto my picture blog...have decided maybe it'll be a "once a week" or "really good picture" thing from now on. Stupid Hello program!

Assessment of current mental state: flea-like
